Reminds me of EDDIE VAN HALEN, in women and children first...the greatest i feel guitar tape inthe world...listen tothe right channel - song - the cradle will rock...THE PATTERNS ARE of a man, who is a freak.

Ow
Oh yeah, get up
Ow! (Yeah)
Ow! Ow!
Well, they say it's kinda frightnin'
How this younger generation swings
You know it's more than just some new sensation
Well, the kid is into losin' sleep
And he don't come home for half the week
You know it's more than just an aggravation

And the cradle will rock
Yes the cradle, cradle will rock
And I say rock on. Uh! Rock on

And when some local kid gets down
They try an' drum him outta town
They say, "Ya coulda least faked it, boy"
Fake it, boy (Ooh, stranger, boy)
At an early age he hits the street
Winds up tired with who he meets
An' he's unemployed (Unemployed?) Ow!

And the cradle will rock. Ow!
And the cradle, the cradle will rock
An' I say rock on. Oh, say, rock on

(Guitar Solo)

Have you seen Junior's grades?
Ooh

Ow!

And when some local kid gets down
They try an' drum him outta town
They say, "Ya could've least faked it, boy. Faked it, boy"
And so an early age he hits the street
'N winds up tired with who he meets
An' he's unemployed. His folks are overjoyed

And the cradle will rock
Yes the cradle, cradle will rock
I say rock on. Hey! Rock on

Rock on. Rock on. Rock on
This ain't never been new, babe, child. Ow!
Rock on, wow! I said...
Rock on. Rock on. Oh, oh, oh
Rock on. Oh, ow, ah, ah, ah
Rock on. Rock on. Rock on

Here's the beginning of the first solo.....(fret/string)

slide up to 12/A (12th fret, A string) 12/D 10/G 10/B hammer to 11/B 13/E slide to 12/E 13/B (bend it up two frets to sound like 15/B, hit it twice more and vibrato it) 10/E 10/B 13/B 12/G (bend it up two frets) 10/B 10/G 12/G, then the next bend consists of two fingers, your first finger on the ninth fret of the B string , and your third finger on the eleventh fret bending it up two frets to match the higher note being held down by your first finger. Bend this twice, holding both notes at once, let your third finger relaxback down and then slide your third finger down to 9/G.

Work on this, if it makes sense let me know and I'll continue, its sort of hard to type it out (Trust me, this will work).

and your third finger on the eleventh fret bending it up two frets to match the higher note being held down by your first finger. [INTERESTING]

Cheers.....

Anybody heard of Gardenian, on their album "Sindustries" on the second song "Doom & Gloom" the beginning guitar riff sounds almost exactly like the main riff in Beyond Within. I'm not a guitar player so I don't know how close it may actually be, I'm just saying it sounds like it. Off topic, but this was about the tabs for Beyond Within, so it reminded me of that. Sindustries is a decent disk.

True Light,
Here is a segment that is a bit easier to explain (first solo of Beyond W/in)

(These notes are picked unless it says Hammer or pull off or slide)

slide your first finger up to the 12th fret of the high E string...

third finger 14th fret (high E)...fourth finger 15th fret (high E)

third finger 14th fret (high E)... hammer-on 4th finger 15th fret (high E) and pull-off to third finger 14th fret (high E) and pull-off to first finger 12th fret (high E)...third finger 14th fret (high E) then....
slide your 4th finger up to the 18th fret (high E still) followed by your third finger on the 17th fret of the B string and your first finger on the 15th fret of the G string and your third finger on the 17th fret of the B string.....4th finger on the 18th fret of the high E pick it and immediately slide your fourth finger down to the15th fret of the high E.......third finger on the 14th fret of the B string...first finger on the 12th fret of the G string (I love G strings!)....fourth finger on the 15th fret of the high E string, pick it and immediately slide it down to the 12th fret of the high E.....third finger on the 11th fret of the B string...first finger on the 9th fret of the G string (there, I said "G- String" again!)...
fourth finger on the 12th fret of the high E, pick it and immediately slide up to the 15th fret of the high E...third finger on the 14th fret of the B string...first finger on the 12th fret of the G String....first finger on the 15th fret of the high E, pick it and immediately slide it down to the 12th fret of the high E string...third finger on the 11th fret of the B string and first finger on the 9th fret of the G string. Damn! that was harder to describe than I thought it would be.

Be patient, be persistent, try it, work on it, it will fall into place.

Narrot,
This Sacrament is indeed a similar type of bend. first finger on the 6th fret of the E string, staionary...fourth finger on the 10th fret of the B string, bend 'er up a half step to meet her sister's tone (6th fret E string)....Then simply move your fingers to the B and G strings and do the same exact thing for the second part. (first finger will now be on the 6th fret of the B string, stationary...and the fourth finger will be on the 10th fret of the G string bending it up a half step (one fret) which will actually be bending it higher than the clear tone in this case).

As far as the first riff in the sBeyond Within, you should be pulling off from the first fret to the open E.

Put your first finger on the 1st fret, pick it and pull off to Open E then hit Open E twice Muted....1st fret p-o to Open E then pick open E once.. 1st p-o to Open E then pick it etc,

Remember....we were tuned down to Eb / D#
