Anyone heard newly reissued Crimson Glory albums?

I'm interested in sound, especially on first two albums...

I kinda hope these are a plain reissue and that nothing had been touched soundwise... The common remasters usually mean bad and too compressed/limited sound, to the point it starts crackling and pumping excessively.

If anyone laid his/her ears on these I'd be most grateful for a comparison between the original releases and reissues. :worship:

The old Transcendence CD sounds and looks fine IMO but the debut really deserves a proper reissue. The rare "Dream Dancer" track is now also available on CD for the first time (I think) so I'm quite interested in the s/t reissue as well.
Metal Mind has a bit of a shady reputation though, I guess some of their reissues are little more than bootlegs in a digipak and the booklets/other layout tend to be less than stellar. The band themselves do not approve these reissues and claim they're illegal, I guess Metal Mind bought all the reissue rights of Black Lotus when they went under. The fact that CG hasn't actually done anything to prevent these "illegal" releases suggests that MM might have the rights after all and this is all just typical CG drama bullshit...

I don´t know but Metal Mind has a lot of rights from Roadrunner 80´s albums. However I´m surprised for what you say ´cause usually they´re quality reissue with a decent booklet, liner notes (even from bandmembers). I´d say Xentrix reissues, Razor, the migthy Tank box set,...

I have read the same allegations in another forum but I own the Xentrix, Atrophy, Toxik, Heathen and Znowhite remasters and they´re very good. Most of them with bonus tracks, all in very neat digipacks (although I would have preferred jewej cases) with booklets, number of issue and all pressed in golden CDs.

I'm hoping for more stuff from them actually. They're from Poland I wish they reissue STOS album on CD :kickass:

I also want this, the Stos album has never been released on CD yet and Metal Mind is our only hope.

Some years ago they rereleased the Turbo albums on CD, so there are many possibilities for Stos, I think.

Really? I have the last two Turbo albums I like the last one 'Identity' because is more straightforward metal, "Awatar" was too extreme thrash fro my taste.

I mean the first four Turbo albums: "Dorosłe Dzieci", "Smak Ciszy" and the legendary "Kawaleria Szatana" and "Ostatni Wojownik".

The last two are more thrashy, but of the best quality. You will like more the first two, but it's very difficult to find them (I am still searching for "Smak Ciszy").

End of off topic. :p

Not quiet yet . I knew Turbo was more traditional metal in the beginning, but like you pointed those albums are very difficult to get. I recommend "Identity" or its Polish counterpart if you hadn't listened to it.

Now back to your normal transmission :saint:

You and me both brutha. I'd really like to pick up the S/T and Transcendence but refuse to until I hear how the remaster sounds (and if it's cranked to shit).

I'm happy with my original release Trancendence album. I wouldn't be, if it sounded horrible, or the packaging was sub-par, but it's all just fine to me.
