I love this band. This is definitely one of my favorite records. Good mix too. I know Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance, It Prevails) produced and mixed it. Anyone know what was used for the guitars and bass? They sound so good.

I used to be obsessed with Lower D. I hung out with Matt Geise a little when they played in Orlando last year. Such dedicated dudes. I remember Matt just talking about staying true to what they have always done from the beginning and I respect that immensely. Granted, they will never be gigantic, but they are a real ass band, with real ass guys, with some real ass music. lol.

I LOVE the mix of Greatest of All Lost Arts. The bass drop in the opening track is so subtle, but once you know it's there it truly *adds* to the song instead of making it a gimmick.

Yeah dude, I have all of their stuff, crazy amazing band. They just released an EP of their demos a few weeks ago, it's really good. However, I don't know know what their situation is now, they've lost alot of members and a prob going to break up. They seem like very dedicated people.

I agree, so many subtle things on this record that are so cool. Amazing players and vocals in the band. I would LOVE to know stuff about the recording of this album

Good band, fantastic record. Most of the records Kris has done sound awesome. Probably my favourite producer working with "scene" bands at the moment.

Anyway, the band is probably yet again done though. They posted the demos they were working on on bandcamp and said the songs were supposed to be on the follow up.

yea... i think the old drummer (tino arteaga) is now in "of mice & men" ...super-awesome drummer!

but better (imo) in lower d.

here is their new demos with their new drummer and bass player.

LOVE LD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was turned onto them because everyone knows my obsession with Glassjaw and when I heard them it was like I had 2 new GJ records to jam on! =D

I know I'm a little late here, but the guitars for the whole album were the following…

Guitar: Gibson Explorer with 500t's -> modified JCM2000 -> 1971 marshall straight cab with 30watt greenbacks -> Josephson E22s -> Wunder PA4 -> Lavry Blue AD. No guitar editing. Eddie is an amazing guitar player.

Bass: Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass -> Tube Screamer (for distorted parts) -> Ampeg SVT2 Pro -> Ampeg 8x10 -> Josephson E22s -> Wunder PA4 -> Distressor -> Lavry Blue AD
