A good exercise for me...I took an Italian class two years ago and haven't used it a single time since
Here's what I got, with a lot of help from Google's online translator:
"This promo from the Danes Edenbeast is a single that gives a fair idea of what you'll be able to feel from their first full length, which will be called "Torture World Celebration". The [caciara] hellish work of these five drunken Danes is rather [accattivante] and interesting, good abrasive Death Metal which is clearly Swedish in origin, with portions of melody inserted into a damn ferocious and brutal [incedere].
"It's a nice surprise to put a CD in the player and feel the old beloved sounds of At The Gates and early Dismember, the style being rather closer to the pure Swedish Death Metal of these two groups than the usual Melodic Death. In effect, EdenBeast is situated halfway between the two styles; there's too much power to be able to group them with In Flames and co, as there is melody but joined to the brutality, and in this case I can't label them Swedish Death because they are Danes. In short, this is Melodic Death that surely kicks the ass of many such groups in terms of malice!
"The first track of the single (introduced with an intro) is called "Frameworld", and it quickly makes things clear: fast drums, deep growls and snarling and a lack of Maidenisms that will give joy to anyone who loved a disk like Slaughter Of The Soul. [note: I'm not exactly sure what "stacchi maideniani" meant here. It means something like "it detaches the Maidenisms", so I assume he meant "they got rid of the Maidenisms"]. A refrain appears where the clean voice alternates with the growl, and here it playfully approaches standard Melodic Death only to hit the gas and roar away again.
"The second track has similar characteristics, and in this case the sudden angry part of the song makes me remember Dismember, the melody being based on the Death Metal element and not the other way round (er yes, the difference is just this in the end...). This is also a great piece, grinding and snarling to the last breath.
"As I said, there are only two songs on the promo. I don't usually give an appraisal to singles, [e così farò anche in questo caso]. If the stylistic co-ordinates of Edenbeast are attested on these criteria [I think that means "if their style keeps developing in the same way"] (I hope with more malice, haha!) the album could be good and will surely cause some neck-ripping headbanging! Promising for the time!"
