I'm thinking of getting this because the sansamp i use now has no mid freq knob. I would also like to be able to adjust the mid freq and the Rbi is also set mid freq as well. Plus I have gas for rack gear!

I've used the RBI loads and its my favourite tone with a fender jazz and sounds great with a Status Stealth that my friend uses. I guess that extra knob would give you a load more range, but the only thing that would worry me its not soley designed for bass so maybe its a jack of all trades but master of none?
In saying that though back in the early 2000s my old band did a tour with a UK band called One Minute Silence and their bassist was running the PSA into some warwick stuff, and that was brutal. I guess it would be worth having a browse on the Basstalk forum see if anyone is running one.

I have an RBI. It sounds great. Co-worker just got an RPM, he's going to bring it in so we can A/B it. I've heard from him it has a bit better mid-high and loads more gain than the RBI.

You don't actually need a mid range control, just work the low and high controls. Need more mid-range then turn them both down, need less mid range then turn them both up.
