Anyone see the premiere episode????

Lots of excitement!

As expected, Darcy makes a very limited appearance
(Now that she is on the new 90210!)

Her little nerdy sister is now a freshman at DeGrassi, and might change her goody-goody image.

Mia - the hot teenage mom - sleeps her way to the top! (Literally)
This lands her a modeling job to push a football player's shoe line.

Liberty, Emma, and Manny are off away at college.
Nothing too exciting there yet, but I am sure more to come, since their fourth room mate is a hunky dude.

Also, someone is coming out of the closet this season!
(and save it, it's NOT me!!!)

thank you for the catch-up...i actually neglected to set my DVR...grumble
and sadly, yes, i am actually being serious  damn Canadian teen drama (i watched the original, too)
:)

isnt degrassi aimed at like 13 year old girls ???

anyways entourage is a great show.

bah, who needs follow the dictates of the marketing people?

that might be toward whom the show is aimed, but that doesn't mean that all teen girls watch it...nor does it mean you can only watch if you are a teen girl :)

the joy of outliers in marketing research - which is my business...i can tell you with 95% confidence that a different demographic watches than what you might think, marketing gurus be damned :headbang:

it's kinda like soap operas - they are still aimed toward women, but there are a number of guys who watch them too...

it is what it is, ya know?

I have no unearthly idea what DeGrassi is. With that said, Jasonic, you'd be one of the last ones that I'd think was watching a show that you admit to it being geared toward 14-18 year olds.

As for True Blood, I think it's a joke! The show Moonlight kicked it's ass majorly and I'm still pissed that it got taken off of the air!

I will agree with that statement - Moonlight was an EXCELLENT show and that it was taken off the air?...stupid networks grumble grumble

that being said, True Blood is more Twilight than Anne Rice, i would say...

and if i had a choice, it would be Moonlight over True Blood, no questions asked

and Degrassi=total guilty pleasure :)

More like 14 to 18.
What's your point?

i guess i just wouldnt imagine a male metal fan thats probably much older than 18 have a soft spot for a show like degrassi, its kind of funny hahaha!

but hey you like what you like, i like that gay ass numa numa song, so its all good.

but still...................degrassi...............

I'll confess to liking The Tribe back when it was on TV in the States.
It was a young-adult show set in post-apocalyptic New Zealand, where all the adults had been killed off by a virus...think Mad Max meets Lord of the Flies....but in my defense, the cast were involved in Dragon*Con appearances for a few years back when I was the convention's webmaster (which is how I heard about the show).
And they were really cool kids. :)

Why do you say that?
Do I come off as a hardass?????

Yeah, as others have said, DeGrassi = Guilty Pleasure.

I have followed that series since the original DeGrassi Jr High
(Which aired back when I was in Jr High, so I related to it)

Well, that makes sense then. I'll always have a soft spot for the Karate Kid movies, because I grew up with them. Eventhough they're corny I still love em'! :)

Thank you! Mick St. John was a badass vampire! :headbang: These days networks won't give things a chance to build a fanbase. If it's not a hit within the first few weeks, it's gone!

~Brian~

the character of Mick was totally freakin awesome -- and the story lines weren't total rubbish, either...but alas...

@Jasonic, i am right there with you - i had all the "Kids of Degrassi Street" and then "Degrassi Junior High" and the short-lived follow-up of "Degrassi High" on video tape for the longest time -- cheezy show, but i could relate (but never to Spike's hair!! that was just not right! ;)). come on - with a band called Zit Remedy?! oh yeah...so there!:worship:notworthy
