Any fans? I'm going to see them at the TLA - Philly - in January.

They're playing with Arsis, Exodus, Mutiny Within.

Anyone checked out the new album yet, The Root of All Evil? Being that it's a bunch of their old songs redone with the new singer, can you really call it "new"?

If you can get used to her vocals, this band kicks ass. The new album of old songs is great like all their albums. I respect the Ammot brothers as great guitarists and songwriters.

I was actually wondering myself why they're not headlining the show ....

Simple, they're a bigger band. Not better, just, bigger...

And on topic, I'm not a fan. There's worse out there, but there's also a lot better. Especially within the 'melodic death metal' genre.

I fully love angela gossow and the image she has made for herself in that band, shes done great things, far better than the old "singer"....

She just looks, and is, fucking cool. As i say, Wages of Sin was damn good, it had something good going on that the albums after just don't have for me. Thats just me though, i think Oasis 'be here now' album is amazing so my opinion is probably invalid to a lot of people here haha.

I caught some of Arch Enemy at Bloodstock whilst I was looking for my brother, they weren't too bad. Very good live.

I found my brother by the way, with half an ecstasy pill in his pocket and he had cained 2 bottles of Jager to himself.

Titbox.

Bad live, bad on record. Crap version of Heartwork era Carcass. And Heartwork is not the best Carcass album. The vocals are seriously bad. Mike is one of my least favourite guitarists ever (but Carcass are my all time favourite band).

If you want good melodic death metal personally I'd recommend sticking with early In Flames, At The Gates, Grotesque, Children of Bodom's Something Wild (Great album), Carcass' Heartwork and Edge of Sanity's Purgatory Afterglow, which I consider flawless.

Oh and Dismember's Massive Killing Capacity, which I'd class as melodic death metal...

I used to be huge fan of Archenemy and I have a signed copy of Wages of Sin albeit Angela's signture is missing, I have Anthems of Rebillion and Doomsday Machine.

Doomsay Machine was the last album I've bought as It was boring to listen to and then Angela started acting like a diva and basically started treating fans like shit and bad mouthing them and I thought "Fuck you bitch" and that was it for me

Moral of the tale, treat people with respect

She doesn't like loads of people crowding her, I get that, but she didn't even stop to talk to 3 of us outside a gig, FUCK THAT SHIT. Pisses me off as the rest of the band were fine to talk to us.
