Architects : New song - Day In Day Out

This isn't the Architects, it's someone playing a cruel cruel cruel joke at our expense. Fucking bullshit - I do not understand how this is the same band. I realize that right now I'm one of those douchebags wanting a band to write the same album over and over again, but come on... THIS? Nothing AT ALL close to anything they've done in the past, a complete departure from any sound they used to have.

They sound like a shitty Underoath cover band now.
Was so bummed when I heard this on the stream last night, but I can't blame them I guess. They are getting bigger and this is an opportunity to capitalize on that success and launch themselves up even further by playing cookie cutter predictable garbage that appeals to the fucking retards that comprise 95% of modern society. I'd do the same thing if I was in their shoes, but they were one of my absolute favourite bands so it's heart breaking that I'll never get to hear any good new material from them. They always came across as a really honest sounding and passionate band musically, and this is a very large departure from that. Everything feels so fake :/

From someone who has never heard this band before, I like this song... something about the mix sounds overcompressed to me, most likely youtube compression, though.

Nah the band have made it clear that this is the most "Hollow Crown"-ish track on the record and that they are "progressing" to a much more accessible sound :/

yeah, working with a band right now who has heard most of the album and they said this is the heaviest track. I like it, but I'm kind of a pop guy anyways... I like the old stuff but that doesn't stop me from liking the new direction.

It's the big breakdown djenty drop G# bounce tune for the Emmure kids, I dunno, not into it. I'm into the more hardcore sounding stuff on the record, the faster more driving stuff, not the wigger beats 
I don't think this song is that far removed from some of the stuff on Hollow Crown but it is pretty jarring for someone who knew them as a much more technical band back in the Nightmare days.
