The Arena Football League, as part of its strategic plan to solidify its financial condition and create a platform for growth, has taken over operation of MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil's Las Vegas Outlaws. In a collective decision from the AFL Board of Directors, the team will continue as members of the Arena Football League without its previous ownership group in place. The Outlaws have four games remaining in their 2015 regular season schedule. "I came in with the intention of shoring up the AFL's financial growth and positive steps have been taken over the past year," AFL Commissioner Scott C. Butera said. "AFL ownership requires significant financial commitment and operational expertise. We're excited about moving forward with members who share the same vision. We appreciate the efforts that have been made to keep Arena Football viable in each of these high quality sports markets and have begun fielding inquiries from other interested parties. Our new direction has a supreme commitment to putting the right people in place with all of our teams and we’re making the proper strides in getting that done." Las Vegas Outlaws play on the road this Saturday versus the L.A. Kiss. The game will be available to watch online via "AFL Live" on ArenaFootball.com. Neil has been the lead singer of MÖTLEY CRÜE since 1981 and has enjoyed more than three decades in the music and entertainment business. Over the years, he engaged in other successful business ventures, including taking an ownership stake in the Jacksonville Sharks Arena Football team, and as of late last year, the Las Vegas Outlaws AFL expansion team. Neil was in attendance at the Outlaws' historic first game in March during a break from MÖTLEY CRÜE's "The Final Tour". In September 2014, it was announced that Neil would bring Arena Football back to Las Vegas. Since then, the Outlaws have been building its coaches and players roster, securing national television deals and pursuing local business sponsors.
