...and one of my childhood boxing heroes was Alexis "The Explosive Thin Man" Arguello who died last week and had a career record of 82-8......yes 82 wins. You won't see that anymore in this age.

But yeah, it looks like Arturo was offed by his wife in Brazil. This story definitely is not over yet. Word is he and the wife were in a hotel room in Brazil and the wife told police that she did not know he was dead for TEN hours.

Huge boxing fan, but yeah, a sad tale indeed. As for his boxing career, would've been better if he'd have been taught better defense... he just took way too many punches, but I guess that gladiator mentality will always catch up with a boxer eventually. Sorry to see him pass though, big loss definitely.

Having said that, as for heavyweights, I will make the prediction that Fast Eddie Chambers will be the undisputed champ once all the dust clears. He's been razor sharp and lightning fast (and in shape) his last few fights. You heard it here first.
