Welcome to the Ascension of The Watchers very first PledgeMusic Campaign. Our goal is to record and release our second album, STORMCROW. With an album’s worth of material, we wish to record at Northstone Studio, South Wales.
This band is very personal, but by reaching out directly and engaging YOU, this personal journey of our is also yours! All who pledge will have access to video updates, pictures, news and sneak previews from the studio. You will have the opportunity to watch the album develop through the recording process.
The band formed in 2002 with Burton C Bell (Fear Factory, G/Z/R, Ministry), John Bechdel (Killing Joke, Murder Inc, Prong, Fear Factory, Ministry) and Eduardo Mussi(Still Life Decay). Based upon the story of the Watchers from The Book of ‘Enoch from The Dead Sea Scrolls’, Ascension of The Watchers tells the story of fallen angels imploring forgiveness from their one true love.
It’s been 14 years since the self released ICONOCLAST, and 10 years since the 13th Planet release of NUMINOSUM. The music written for this album ‘STORMCROW’ is the sound of a fully developed concept. Dark, melancholic textures and melodies that connect you to the visions in your mind; a landscape for your own journey.
Northstone is a modern-analogue recording studio built by Jayce Lewis(Welsh/International electronic solo artist). Settled in the south, Welsh countryside at Court-Colman Manor in Bridgend, Northstone Studio is perfect for the Ascension of The Watchers project: It’s the studio I have always dreamed of. The quiet setting is sequestered from day to day distractions, allowing more time for creativity between Burton, John, Eduardo and Jayce, so that we can fully realize the essence of AoTW: a personal penance toward redemption through music and lyrics.
The latest song Ghost Heart is our newest offering; a statement from AoTW. A sound more sonic and full, without losing any of the fine qualities and nuances of the brooding melodies. Victor Hugo-Borges returned to supply his mastery to the video, much like he did for Residual Presence. Naturally, with progressive development, The album version of Ghost Heart will differ slightly, so you benefit from this exclusive original mix of the song.
This PledgeMusic Campaign is to create a platform for Ascension of The Watchers to properly record our next album for you! To create art and visuals for AoTW so that we can tour and perform the new and old material from our catalogue for our Pledgers!
