"Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust"

This has to be the most repeated sentence in the metal world. I think the first time I heard it was in Sepultura's Arise (that's classic: ashes to ashes/ dust to dust/ face the enemy/ manic thoughts...) although they weren't the first to used it.

Here is a list of bands that used this sentence sometime in their career:

Venom - Raise the Dead
Candlemass - Solitude
Carcass - Inpropagation
Dismember - In Death's Sleep (well, here's a variant: "ashes to ashes, dust to death")
Annihilator - Dead Wrong
Disinter - Storm of the Witch
Sepultura - Arise
...

There must be a hundred more... Just add your own to the list.
Or if you know any other sentence more repeated than "ashes to ashes, dust to dust"... good luck finding it

David Bowie made a great track called "Ashes to ashes" and the sentence goes "Ashes to ashes, funk to funky, we know Major Tom's a junkie". Major Tom is as far as I know a character Bowie came up with in some of his songs. "Ashes to ashes" is, as I said, a great track, so if you don't know it, go check it out!
