Asking about Mesa Boogie Mark V

Did any John Petrucci diehard fans here ??could somebody tell me ..does john mod his mark v ?? i saw many people useing mark v in youtube ....but no one can get the sounds even close to john ....especially the high gain sound .....

can anybody tell me why ?? please

He doesn't plug straight into the amp. The man's got a guitar rack the size of a small trailer. Also, tone is all about the hands. Though Petrucci has made numerous changes and adaptations to his rig, his sound has remained about the same.

Ya he's not exactly a normal guitar player. The guys has an enormous amout of gear

You CAN get close to the tone in the video though guys. What guitar/pickups/strings, etc are you using?

I don't see how ANY of this post has to do with his question, he's talking about a video where he DID plug straight into the amp. His tone has certainly NOT stayed the same either, you must be deaf.
