"Malevolent Firmament", a brand new song from Swedish black metallers ASTROPHOBOS, can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's debut album "Remnants of Forgotten Horrors", which is scheduled for release on January 24 through Triumvirate Records. Recorded and mixed at Garaget Studio by Erik Nilsson (AORIA, A SWARM OF THE SUN) and featuring session drummer Fredrik Widigs (THE UGLY), "Remnants of Forgotten Horrors" follows up ASTROPHOBOS' debut EP, "Arcane Secrets", from 2010 and is definitely a positive and creative step forward for the Swedish trio, that will surely leave an indelible impression on fans of Swedish black/death metal.Says bassist/vocalist Micke Broman: "['Malevolent Firmament'] is classical black metal to us: dark, melodic and fast. Lyrically, it's partly inspired by Lovecraft's short story 'Polaris' and the fear that the titular star instills in the story’s narrator."
