At the gates REUNITE!

Why do they all give the same answers when asked about the reasons? I mean, I know you have to come up with something, but does it always have to be this stuff about things falling into place?

@rahv:  i think that the reason why this motivation is normally invoked is because well, when things fall into place, it's because they have fallen into place. bloody fucking idiots, all of them.

That's good news. :) I doubt i'll catch a show, but at least now i can hope.

They must come to Munich or the Summer Breeze festival or something else near where I live.

Wacken is almost a thousand kilometers away.

Just imagine this: They would do a double-headliner tour with DT. That would be awesome. (Maybe In Flames as support?)

edit: Anyways, Wacken is too big for me. This year they had 70,000 people there. That is way too much for a good enjoyable concert.

It would be sick if DT played a ton of songs from The Mind's I, which came out shortly before/after they broke up and would complement ATG's heaviness quite nicely.

A double-headlining tour to the U.S. would ensure that I die a happy man.

*Closes his eyes, imagines it (replace that U.S. with Germany), jerks off and goes on as if nothing has happened* :saint:

NP: The Flames of the End. Probably the greatest instrumental ever.
just ended: NP: The Swarm, probably the greatest beginning of a song ever

I was thinking exactly the same! :headbang:

"Creators of Gothenburg" tour with Dark Tranquillity and At the Gates! Coming soon to a town near you! :headbang::cry::kickass:

Wacken is awesome, but I also think that there are too many people there in order to enjoy any concert :erk: (sad).

Anyway, it's certainly one of the best news I've heard this year, if not the best :Spin: :headbang:.

PD: It's be awesome if they'd release a new album!!! o_O

And Dark Tranquillity and In Flames are only allowed to play their old albums (not that I don't like the new stuff but I have already heard it live) and they are going to sing Shadow Duet. It is going to be a triple-headlining show with six hours of nothing but great metal.

Maybe after that a "Creators of Gothenburg" tour where we can pray to Oden for the souls of the dead first settlers of Gothenburg whose skeletons will lie on the stage. :danceboy:

Yeah, lets keep dreaming!

The setlist for In Flames would be:

01 Behind Space
02 Jotun
03 Artifacts of the Black Rain
04 Stand Ablaze
05 Zombie Inc.
06 The Jester Race
07 Clad in Shadows
08 Satellites and Astronauts
09 Everdying
10 The Hive
11 Ordinary Story
12 Upon An Oaken Throne (w/ Stanne)
13 Food For The Gods

...and the setlist for Dark Tranquillity would be:

01 Punish My Heaven
02 Hedon
03 Insanity's Crescendo
04 Edenspring
05 Zodijackyl Light
06 ThereIn
07 The Gallery
08 Shadow Duet (w/ Friden)
09 Lethe
10 The Sun Fired Blanks
11 Crimson Winds
12 Sacred Reich
13 Of Chaos and Eternal Night

:p

The only old song Dark Tranquillity plays now is Punish My Heaven - which everyone in the world (including the people who don't listen to metal or Dark Tranquillity) have had enough of it. There has to be some variety between the new and old songs, at least bring back Zodijackyl Light or Edenspring.

Pun intended hehehe :p .

@ Clad in the Shadowa: Definetly, I believe that is the only true complain we DT fans have. Mind you, Punish My Heaven is simply amazing, but one would also love to hear The Emptiness from Which I fed or Edenspring live, at least. Doesn't DT still play Zodijackyl Light? Shame on them if they don't -.- .

Remember DT, variety is the spice of life :kickass:.

And adding to the setlist CitS made, it'd be so fucking awesome to see a combination of "The Jester's Dance" (that was instrumental right?) and "Mine is the Grandeur," followed by "Lord Hypnos of Melancholy Burning."

:lol::p:headbang:

It's so on, it is fate, it MUST happen, and if it does, it MUST be recorded!!!
