At Vance

I've long known about these guys, never given them a listen. Wish I had sooner. I'm checking out their new album Ride the Sky, and it's awesome. Class A Power Metal and the singer sounds a LOT like Joe Lynn Turner / Mark Boals / Jeff Scott Soto. I guess the guy's now the singer in Thunderstone as well?

Any other albums you guys can recommend?

I thought Heart of Steel was pretty good. No Escape & Dragonchaser have some good tracks & some filler. Those were all with Oliver Hartmann on vox, not their current singer. Haven't heard any of their more recent albums.

Oliver Hartmann is probably among the best HM singers IMO...
Has such a power and emotion to his voice, just check his ABBA renditions with At Vance, very few female not to mention male singers can perform those convincingly enough. His two solo albums are nice melodic hard rock, very good... AFter his departure I somehow lost interest in them, even though Mats Leven who came aboard is a classy singer.

Yes, Rick Altzi sings in both At Vance and Thunderstone, as well as in Sandalinas.

The Evil In You (with Mats Leven on vox) is probably my fave At Vance disc.
