ATB / Veil esque Metalcore intro

Working on a buddies band. Summerian style metalcore stuff.

Just finished mixing the intro to their EP.

Thoughts on the mix?

sounds like some drastic eq'ing on the instruments. i think you need another guitarsound at least with less treble and presence.
what did you use on the guitars?

The band actually tracked this with that tone and didn't have DI files files for the guitars so I'm still working to try to salvage the tone.

Any suggestions?

Yes, more mids on the guitars, more bass presence, and more body to those drums. I think this is salvageable

I'll work on Eq'ing more with the guitars. Honestly i just pulled all the ugly frequencies out of em I could.

As far as bass to you mean louder presence? or like the amp "presence"

When I used a beefier kick / snare I was getting a lot of fighting with the bass / drop a guitars.

First time I've worked this low. I'll give it a shot!
