Plato was one of the first people to write about atlantis did they even know anything about far east asia past india during the ancient greek times I mean I don't know just what I always thought

I read the entire book. I read it like 3 times looking for holes in his hypothesis. There are very few.

Actually, the Ancient Egyptians, Mayans, Celts, and almost every other civilizstion in the world, from very early on, had tales of a paradise with a name that somewhat resembled Atlantis, but Plato was the first to identify it as Atlantis.
