Still trying to wrap my head around mastering so I decided to use Ryan Hoffman's band's multitracks and use it as practice.

What is you approach of mastering?Any advice? Secrets? Illuminati shit?

I usually use slate VTM then izotope eq and snapshot a reference track so i can do some light eq move like 1-2db. After that i throw in slates VBC FG Red and slam it like 5db GR, 1.5-2 ratio. and blend in it with mix knob like 40-60%. and last i put on Slate FG-X and try to reach around -10 to -9 RMS. I just use the limiter on FG-X. This is how i do it, theres maybe thousand other ways but it works fine for me. I also use Span frequency analyser

I wouldn't say I'm good at mastering, but I've been satisfied with the results I'm getting. I usually use Ferric TDS(some light saturation)>Waves C6>Slate FG-X
