produced a local band's cover for a movielife tribute compilation CD, song was 'jamaica next'; original production is really lo-fi so i attempted to put a later more polished sound like the starting line/new found glory/fenix TX etc.

this is my first time using samples in ages, the snare is my own black beauty sample (see sig), kick is a donoho 20" custom; just ripped from one of the other drum tracking sessions i did that day as it sounded rad.

guitars were my reinhardt titan and '72 thinline with a little bit of eleven plugin slo-100 blended in.

vocals were recorded with a sterling audio st69 (guitar centre brand, cheap tube mic) into the daking IV
 
I think you nailed it man, can't fault this in any way!:worship:

I'll wait to hear the vocals to see if they did the original any justice or not!
 
cheers guys! recording vocals in the morning so will get a full mix up here asap. preciate the kind words! will post full drum samples soon too if anyone wants them
