I don't remember who I was arguing about this with, but here is the definition:

fickle

\Fic"kle\, a. [OE. fikel untrustworthy, deceitful, AS. ficol, fr. fic, gefic, fraud, deceit; cf. f[=a]cen deceit, OS. f?kn, OHG. feichan, Icel. feikn portent. Cf. Fidget.] Not fixed or firm; liable to change; unstable; of a changeable mind; not firm in opinion or purpose; inconstant; capricious; as, Fortune's fickle wheel. --Shak.

like I had stated.

So let's just say you're at a football game.
The quarterback for the home team is always very hyped, and he's thought of as being the hero of the team, and all the fans seem to love him.
But then he gets sacked.
And a bunch of fans boo him, or start yelling that he sucks.
This happened, and my brother said the fans were being "Fickle"
Is that the right word for the situation? I wasn't sure.
