My band was supposed to play there with Suffokate a few years ago. I played another show their, but it was the kind where only other bands were the entire audience. And yeah Trenton is a fucking shithole, the suburbs aren't so bad. My brother was robbed, pistol whipped and left for dead their for his wallet so don't get lost in inner city.

It's mostly just crip/latin kings/smm random acts of violence that slowly move outward from the inner city. Obviously it's not like every person who goes to Trenton or Newark etc gets robbed or killed, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. How was the show?

Nah, I know. I've been to Trenton and Newark for work a bunch of times. But that was during the day.

I've played some shithole bars before. This is a new one for me.

granted its been about 4 years since I was there but I can't imagine the surrounding area has improved. Anyway, you'll be fine even if the place is a dump. Then again, they might have invested in it a little but last time I was there the "stage" was some homebuilt 10 X 8 platform in the middle of the back wall, giving you 3 possible ways to misstep off and sprain your ankle since it was only about 6" high

Well, show went aight. Apparently they did change the place up. Wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. Made some new friends from VA, Beyond the Throne.

Didn't get robbed. Didn't get paid. Pretty sure we didn't sell any merch, either.
