On December 13, 2013, "Across The Board" radio show conducted an interview with drummer Matt Greiner of the Manheim, Pennsylvania-based quintet AUGUST BURNS RED. You can now listen to the chat below. Continuing its annual tradition of releasing an amped-up version of a classic Christmas song, AUGUST BURNS RED is streaming its cover of "Dance Of The Sugar Plumb Fairy". The single marks the latest in a line of reinterpreted holiday classics from the band, all of which were collected in 2012's release of "August Burns Red Presents: Sleddin' Hill, A Holiday Album". For fans that don't already own the holiday album, "Sugar Plumb Fairy" was added to the digital release, with the track also being available to purchase individually for those who do at iTunes, AmazonMp3, Google Play or wherever digital music is sold. Released in 2012, the 13-track (now 14, for the digital version) "Sleddin' Hill" features fresh takes on a variety of Christmas classics, such as "Jingle Bells", "Winter Wonderland" and even "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer". The album also compiles remixed and remastered versions of the band’s previous holiday singles, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "Little Drummer Boy" coupled with an updated version of the band's rendition of "Carol Of The Bells", heard in Frank Miller's ("300", "Sin City") movie "The Spirit" and Seth MacFarlane's ("Family Guy") "American Dad". Already one of the most influential acts in the current field of heavy music, AUGUST BURNS RED reached new heights with the Billboard Top 10 debut of "Rescue & Restore" — which also arrived as the No. 2 Hard Rock album, No. 3 Rock album and No. 1 Indie album. The CD's commercial success has been matched by critical praise and has pushed the band's combined album sales past the half-million mark. Interview (audio):
