I too hail from Australia(relocating from Perth to Melbourne to be exact). I am looking forward to checking out The Red Moon when I get there.
I have a taste in music that goes in two very different, distinctive and opposite directions - dark; black/melodic death metal and heavy/hard Drum & Bass and light; trance. Odd? Very! But my theory is that you don't choose music, music chooses you. Moreover I am one of about four people (inclusive) who love both metal and rave music.
Favourite bands include; CoF, Maiden, Emperor, Marduk, Opeth. Non metal; Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Beatles/John Lennon. Favourite DJs; Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, John 00 Fleming, Technical Itch, Noisia, Evol Intnet.
I was hoping that there would be a Melbourne metal forum but only Adelaide has one which appears to be quite active.
