Avenged Sevenfold are thieves.

A flying skull is a pretty elementary idea. It's probably been used a million times. There were even flying skulls in the original DOOM. Giving them wings just seems logical. How else would it fly? Perhaps what you are witnessing is actually avenged sevenfold's belief in gravity and that for all bird-like creatures to fly, they must have wings? I know skulls aren't birdlike (unless its a bird skull) but flying objects usually have wings. You don't believe in magic do you? Well there you have it. Skulls don't just "mysteriously" float around the room, they fly on wings.

You stole that pentagram in your avatar from 3,000+ worldwide black metal bands, and beyond... so who are you to judge? :)

Yeah, the flying skull has been used a million times, killswitch engage for example, i'm wearing a killswitch t-shirt right now with a flying skull on it.

Their new album was wonderful musically, but yeah, the vocals are a bit, er, tedious. :ill:

Yeah, it might've been the best non-metal album of the year. (in that genre, course). The vocals were put together great, but his voice just sounds whiny to me.

I don't think City of Evil is very metal. I mean, its harder than most rock bands, but I still wouldn't say metal. They used to be metalcore, if that helps any.
