BAD RELIGION guitarist Brett Gurewitz has confirmed to KROQ in a new interview that the band will release a new full-length record next year. "We're not announcing the album yet, but everyone knows we've been working on it," Brett said (see video below). "So it will be coming out in 2019. And an official announcement will be made in January." The follow-up to 2013's "True North" will include the song "My Sanity", which was recently released as a single. "It's a song about what it feels like to live in a world gone mad," Brett said. "And that's the first line of the song. Whether you're on the left or the right, you can relate to that. You just think the other side is crazy right now." This past summer, Gurewitz told LA Weekly that BAD RELIGION was preparing "an album's worth of 'Fuck Trump' songs" for its upcoming disc. He added: "It's exactly what we need." BAD RELIGION's forthcoming 17th album will mark the band's first full-length studio effort with guitarist Mike Dimkich of THE CULT, and drummer Jamie Miller of …AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD. They joined BAD RELIGION as replacements for guitarist Greg Hetson and drummer Brooks Wackerman, who left the band in April 2013 and October 2015, respectively. BAD RELIGION released the EP "Christmas Songs" in 2013.
