Bale is a psycho on set?

Well if I was a serious actor, and I was very into a scene and getting a good performance then I would be pissed if someone fucked it up. But it's hard to say anything about it, hearing only half of the conversation and not knowing the history.

With that said, it kinda sounds like he overreacted.

he can do whatever he fucking wants, since he is the actor and has the power and control.
that doesn't make him less asshole though. for the money he gets he shouldn't be such a pussy.
claiming that others aren't professional because they make a mistake or two and what about him? can't get more arrogant and amateur, can it?

If he used the Batman voice on him, dude would have listened.

But seriously, fuck that guy. He's making a god damn Terminator movie, he's not saving the fucking world. What a dick.

Hahaha. I like when he throws the chainsaw at the chick from atop the stairs and then just lets out a scream that sounds something like: "DAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!."

Great flick.

I pulled that line on my wife where he's telling the hooker the rules:

"You're name is Christy, you are only to respond to Christy"

She now responds to Christy

one of my favorite movies of all time

you know, its one of those things that crosses my mind to do but I never seem to think about it when I'm in a bookstore. I should really try to make a note of that

was it much different than the movie?

Not that much. In fact, the movie is one of the best adaptations I can think of.

The infamous "chainsaw scene" actually isn't in the novel, but basically everything else... and much more. ;)

Other than that there are just minor changes, like with names (i.e. Paul Allen becomes Paul Owen etc.).

You just learn a lot more about the other characters and Ellis' writing is fantastic.

I really should read the novel as well. My friend told me it's excellent.

It is excellent. Not only the insanely detailed gore and sex scenes make it a good read, but even more the vastly overdrawn yuppie-lifestyle. So much tongue in cheek sarcastic humor.

People often fail to realize that this is a social critique in the first place. But that's actually what makes it such an outstanding novel.

Highly recommended (for people with a strong stomach)!

Cool...perhaps I will pick it up from the library. Cheers dude, thanks for the info.
