I know Heavy Load's lyrics are sometimes a bit 'rock and roll is good yeah yeah yeah' but they have some viking inspired songs too.

incredible band, i don't think there's any such thing as someone who doesn't love pagan altar, they're metal incarnate. one of the laziest sounding bands i've ever heard (i mean that in the best way possible), so COMPLETELY in command, you feel like you're in a trance in the face of some massive spiritual presence as you listen. i dunno, they're like a musky dusty book trapping some ancient natural force that oozes out when opened, everything is so vital and evolves inevitably and necessarily, it's genius level material.
