My girlfriend loves Lacuna Coil , Evanescence and such ... I recently picked up the "We are the Fallen" CD, with the members of Evanescence minus Amy Lee plus some girl who was on American Idol , who is actually , IMO better.

Within Tempation & Leaves' Eyes are my fave of that group. We are the fallen is a complete Evanesence clone with one of the American Idol bitches singing. If you like Amy Lee, you will love her, shes 10 times better and not as Autotuned ....lol
And whats with all the praise for AMy Lee? Have you guys ever seen her live, shes fucking horrible. Shes auto tuned to shit on the CD's

Thanks guys, I gonna check all them out. I think Lacuna Coil has a very distinctive vibe. I could say that it is somewhat asian, misterious. Take songs like Swamped and Daylight Dancer. It´s very different from the fast melodic bands like Nightwish, Epica or doom like Tristania and Sirenia. I´m on a super Lacuna Coil mood because yesterday I finnished (again) the PC game "Vampire: Bloodlines" and in the credits Swamped blasts with so much impact.
By the way, I love the first Tristania album and I thought Sirenia would be at the same level, but that didn´t happened. Same thing happened to Evanescence. I liked their first album (Fallen) but hated the second, so I went to check "We´re the Fallen" thinking that Ben Moody was the man, just to be disappointed by how he focused on the worst part of Evanescence (the ballads).
I like´em both, but I know what you mean. I like the Korn-like style of Karmacode, but Comalies is my favourite.

I bought the new L C for my girl , some songs are pretty cool but it seems they are more pop now. At least it seems like the guy sings less, that guy cannot sing for shit and it seems like no one has the heart to tell him

I remember listening to Lacuna Coil something like 10 years ago and I was in love with it, but the other day I saw a recent video and was like WTFITS (what the fuck is this shit), I still think cristina is one of the most beautiful girls on the planet.
I recommend We Are The Fallen, it's better than Evanescence IMO, and The Gathering cause my wife's a HUGE fan of them and they're pretty cool, plus Anneke is also terribly cute
