Do you pay for your practice space? If so, how much for how much time? Do they offer gear storage? If not would you pay for a practice space that's under 24/7 surveillance and you can practice as late as you want? How much would you pay for said service?

yes, my bands pay 460€ a month for a rehearsal room. yes, that's a fuckload of money, but good thing we have 3 bands in the same space so it's not so bad. i keep hearing about better deals though, but it would be such a pain in the ass to move anywhere else, plus we need to be able to practice in our city.

those complexes with several rehearsal spaces usually are equipped with security cameras, but don't rely on those. i sure know security cameras didn't stop a bunch of junkie lowlifes breaking into our rehearsal space and stealing an xbox 360, controllers and games (we were extremely lucky they only took those). make sure you have a good insurance - as far as i understand, if you have a home insurance it will also apply to certain types of outside-home storages like a band rehearsal space.

our space is located in an industrial district so we don't really need to worry about the time, but on the other hand it makes the complex a bit more vulnerable to all kinds of thief fucktards.

I'd totally pay for unlimited practice time. Luckily, our guitarist owns a house with a decent enough sized room in the basement to have practice there.

My band pay for a room weekly, we dont leave our gear there, which is a major fucking pain. It works out £10 an hour which is by no means cheap. Other places we have gone have had electrical blow outs, water leaking on switchboards....

Here's the skinny:

I'm relocating my studio into the center great room of a HUGE building, it has around 10 offices that run along the outside of it. I'm debating opening up a "all in one" kinda deal (sans shows) and i'm just trying to get a round about figure. Prices vary greatly depending on location, I know it's 400$ a month to practice in a complete shithole in Detroit and 350$ a month for pretty much the same deal in chicago.

Also: Phil, I still have that pic of you and nate from SW on my phone from that tour all those years ago, shit's funny you guys look like brothers.
