Bass and vocals awesome symbiosis. Gorefest.

Just discovered this great 90´s stuff. Nothing mindblowing, just a damn natural and solid sounding mix. Great guitar tone, cutting bass, reeaaaal drums = ear candy. Ok, vocals are a matter of taste. I love how the grinding bass and vox are fighting for same freq range (at least under cans). Any of you guys can recommend some similar stuff? What comes to mind is late carcass work. Anything else?

I remember only really liking the song "River" from that album. But yea the production is nice and raw.
You asking for metal or anything? Caroline's Spine had a nice raw production back in the 90's too. Too bad the youtube video sounds like ass.



As far as metal there is the obvious Opeth but a lot of people still don't know about Avatar and I freaking love them.

They still have some of those elements on the latest stuff but they have gone back to a more death metal sound.
