Bass definition problems

The playing sounds good mate, but please do note that when the guitars come in, you won't even hear the definition from the bass, so no worries :) If you want the scientific answer, the guys who program fast double kicks at +200bpm tempo might have noticed that the kicksound gets a lot thinner when you get past 180bpm, and this is because 16th notes at 185 bpm gives the 81hz the lowest well articulated frequency without clashing. Same goes with bass guitar. But if want the pick/finger attack more defined, just boost the 1-6khz area

could you post a clip with the guitars? that clip doesn't sound bad, a deep bass sound. as AHJteam said, boost a bit of the high frequencies to get some more attack/definition. But with the guitars some could give some better judgement. Sometimes a bass sounds great by itself but when guitars come in it gets totally shadowed by the guitars cause they are in too much the same frequencies
