Hey everybody, its my first post over here. I am currently mixing my bands ep and now I am the part where I need to fix the bass, I have 2 different tracks, one D.I running through ik's ampeg plug and another one that went through a sans amp before. Now both of these go to a bus with some compression and other stuff and I wanted to know where should I fix the pitch ? In each channel strip before any processing, in the bus or or does it make no difference at all ?

Melodyne should be use before ANY processing. Pitch center at 100 for bass. There's a thread somewhere on melodyne

You can use melodyne to fix the pitch on a bass as ling as you are not shifting it a lot and as long as you are only doing it on a single DI track (like before you reamped through a sansamp/amp). The problem is that you cannot recreate the exact pitch changes on both of your tracks. If you pitch them separately, you will have phasing and pitch issues between the DI and the Sans track. Is it possible to edit in the correct note from another part of the song? Thats what I would be searching for. Just grab the correct note from somewhere else if you can find it.
