Looking for some advice on bass pickups...
I have a Jazz Bass (not a Fender, a Tagima, a good Brazilian brand), and I'd like to get some killer pickups for it. I was thinking of Seymour Duncan passive ones, but I am not sure it's the better option, although I've seen it's cheap. Do you guys think these are good pickups for a warm and yet sharp sound? Should I go for active pickups? What's the big difference between those passives and active ones?
I'd like to spend around $100 for the pickups (neck and bridge), what would you suggest me? Going for the quarter-pounder or something else??
