Bass PodXT amps

Hi guys!

I just did the upgrade of my PodXT, and now I have the bass amps simulations on it too.

What do you think are the best simulations for metal and rock?

Haven't done the upgrade, but the first patch I'd go to would probably be the Ampeg SVT with 8X10 \m/

I got the bass pack for my XT Live and it's doing well for the demos I'm doing right now, the SVT + 8x10 and bass driver combination is my "go-to" set-up.

Live I'm probably going to run the XTL into a clean poweramp and a pair of 4x10 and 1x15 cabs. Until I can afford myself an SVT or Gallien Kreuger.

How do you guys like the sound? Is it better than standard DI's, like the Sansamp Bass Driver, or is is just faster and easier to get a decent sound?

I'm definitely trying to record my next things with the Ampeg simulation.

I kind of dislike the distortion by the stomp boxes and I tried to use my real Tubescreamer TS-808 in front but it kills the sound. Dropping in volume etc...
