bass question for Troy

or anybody. what's the difference between the P style and J style bass? Jazz or rock? my small hands could only play the jazz bass I think

i tried the american jazz bass. its really nice. i want a starburst one. also them stingrays i like too. but with my paycheck i'd think about a squire instead

Ok, I don't want to mislead people with this post. Thus I will ask Troy relevant questions regarding this forum and his bass, bass playing:

so: first question: what kind of gear you got? it sounds so loud and deep! Is it the Carvin and the Mesa boogie, right? Just plug and play?
