Can I use pink fiberglass to make bass traps?

If your answer is no, why?

Good enough for heat, not dense enoguh for bass trapping AFAIK.

If it can be rolled up into a batt like that, it isn't rigid enough.

If you're in North America get some OC 705 or Roxul (if you're Canadian) insulation.

My interest in this area just got sparked again after the Opals revealed what an acoustic shithole this room really is, so I'll likely be posting reports as I superchunk anything that resembles a corner.

Generally its not as much as use as dense stuff like rockwool rw3, but it is off some use if you have a load of it lying around, just work out a way to compress the fuck out of it and get it neatly into a corner. Never buy it specifically for treating a room though.

roxul safe and sound is pretty cheap (like 25 bucks a pack) and works great!
