"Scottish bassist Richard Allan headbanged a little too hard at his gig in Edinburgh Friday night with his "emo-esque metal band The Day I Vanished. Following the show, Allan felt his eyesight go blurry and assumed he had been dazzled by stage lights. But the bass player had actually torn his retina as he jumped around the stage to his band's tunes."

Yikes! :kickass:+ = :zombie: ?

FUCKING PUSSY!!!

That's why emo sucks! If this twerp were fucking METAL, his eye woulda been strong enough! Tough enough! Fierce enough! Kvlt enough to take the punishment without failing miserably!!!

EDIT: Oh. I see why now. He's wanking with only four strings.

NOT.

PROG.

ENOUGH.

John Myung would be ashamed of him.

So I guess Victor Smolski isn't metal because his testicle couldn't handle the awesomeness of RAGE's music, and exploded on stage?

This is not a question of being metal enough to not tear your retina whilst headbanging, this is a matter of not knowing how to headbang properly.

An excellent example (with illustrations) is given in Maxwell's "Alphabet of Manliness".
I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine literature.

This story is simply more proof that the emo mop-floppery that accompanies their absolutely godawful shrill "music" cannot qualify as "headbanging" by any terms.

As for bthe testicular explodie mentioned above, that merely indicates that his testicles were far more kvlt than any of us could ever hope to be, because if he were tr00 kvlt, he HIMSELF would have exploded, while his testicles would have most likely remained whole, flying hither and yon, and no doubt beaning some hapless headbanger in the eye and dislodging his retina.
