I don't really enjoy comic movies much but there's something about this one that's grabbing me. Having said that Snyder makes me nervous, I find his work really hit and miss and very far on either end of the spectrum. Hopefully this one lands as a hit.

Well, that's because the originals were such a big part of my childhood and there hasn't been a legitimate successor to them in over 30 years. And I'm not the only one



I'm just making fun of Snyder/DC Comics because all their movies are goofily dark and self-important. And his track record as a director is shitty but he somehow keeps getting work. His highest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes is a remake of Dawn of the Dead from 2004 that got 75%.

It was part of my childhood too, though I did have to wait a few years to watch it. Born in 75 and all.
