In an interview with Reality Check TV, BATTLE BEAST singer Noora Louhimo was asked for her opinion of BEAST IN BLACK, the new band formed by ex-BATTLE BEAST guitarist Anton Kabanen. "I think they are a good band and good music…," she replied (see video below). "I think everything went, after going different ways with Anton, everything just got into their own places. He has his band, and we have our band, and both are doing good music and doing good. So it's a win-win situation… I think the [BEAST IN BLACK] singer [Yannis Papadopoulos] is really talented and good." Noora also confirmed that she has begun work on her first solo album. "Right now I'm in the songwriting process with my band," she said. "It's not gonna be heavy metal. It's gonna be more like going back to the musical roots of mine — going back to blues rock, country influences, a little bit of PINK FLOYD-ish vibe there. It's gonna be interesting. "[I released] one [solo] single in 2011, maybe," she continued. "It was my first, and for now only [laughs], single… But now I'm really working to do a whole album. And, actually, that first single, called 'Relax', it wasn't even written by me, but it was custom made for me. It was a prize of this singing competition [laughs] that I was contributing. But this time, on this solo project, this is the first time I open up my soul to you people. So it's gonna be a very sensitive and personal album." Kabanen was dismissed from BATTLE BEAST in February 2015 due to what was described at the time as "insurmountable disagreements" with the other members of the band. BATTLE BEAST's latest album, "No More Hollywood Endings", was released in March via Nuclear Blast.
