Now *this* is a tough one. Do I go with one of the all-time great bands, or do I go with one of the all-time great singers? What if Dio sang for The Beatles? Or what if the fab four played in Ronnie's band? Would we have musical perfection right there?

I'm going to have to go with The Beatles here. They're the only band in the world where *everyone*, even the natives of as-yet-undiscovered tribes in the Amazon jungle, knows some of their songs.

I agree. The Beatles for me.
Have a look at their catalogue.... I dare ya!

Not only some of the greatest albums of all time, but a shit load of the greatest songs of all time. Lennon/McCartney had an awesome song writing combo going on there, and Harrison was no slouch either.

Across the Universe
Let it Be
The Long and Winding Road
Get Back
Something
Norweigen Wood
Drive My Car
Michelle
In My Life
Come Together
Carry That Weight
The whole Sgt Peppers Album..... especially A Day in the Life

And that isnt including their mop top days either

Dio coz I like the music better but The Beatles were brilliant. In their later days anyway. They were a bit gay sounding I think in their early days. From Magical Mystery Tour/Sgt Pepper era onwards was great.

Dio has rocked for a long, long time
Now it's time for him to pass the torch
He has songs of wilderbeasts and angels
He has soared on the wings of a demon

It's time to pass the torch,
You're too old to rock, no more rockin' for you
We're taking you to a home
But we will sing a song about you

Etc, etc.

Tenacious D. You've gotta love them, don't you?
Did anyone see Rage last Sat night, which they programmed?

Also, Andrew from 3 Hours Of Power is apparently programming Rage on Saturday week - July 27th.

And also - Thank %^&$ Dio has seen off the crazed lunatics who voted for The Beatles.....
