The official announcement of the band (www.battleroar.gr):
Very important news for the humble greek metal scene, as John (Yiannis in greek) Papanikolaou was the singer and co-founder of premium melodic heavy metal band INNERWISH. Their debut album "Waiting For the Dawn" is amongst the best albums coming from Greece and I recommend it to everyone here.
The thing that you don't know is that Yiannis left the band after this release and decided to devote his life to God becoming a monk! At the monastery he formed a christian rock band, which had a lot of commercial success in Greece some years ago. Yiannis left the monastery due to personal reasons two years ago and now is officially back to heavy metal!

Dear Fans, we would like to inform you that Marco Concoreggi is no longer a member of Battleroar, due to personal reasons. After some research we have recruited a new singer for the band, John Papanikolaou from Greece. His name may ring a bell to some of the older fans of the Greek Heavy Metal scene. For all you, yes, that's the one and he is back in the metal business for good!
Stay tuned for more info. Hail
