Be careful in Mexico City

Around the time of the the show there are supposed to be massive protests in Mexico City. It seems a large percentage of Mexicans don't like it when a court declares the loser of a Presidential election to be the winner. I wish more Americans felt that way.

Mexico City, that's cool, but what's weird is that KZOK 102.5 in Seattle said this morning Sept-07-2006, that the "Iron Maidens" are playing at one of these clubs in town this weekend.

Also, dissenting is not being unhinged. Dissention is what created this country.

September 15 is the day before Mexican Independence Day (contrary to popular belief in this country). The President (and I suspect the President "elect") always take the balcony of the Presidential residence and rings the same bell Father Hidalgo rang on September 16 to call the people. Fox will also cry "viva Mexico"... like every President has done. What better day to protest a government with which you don't agree than on a day which means so much?

Is there not always a protest around a metal show??? Geez. We will be there giving it all we have, and that's all we can do. We know it's Independence Day there that weekend and we only hope to help in the celebration. Spread hte word.
