they were obscure. Interesting read...didn't know about Billy Joel being in a metal band. I do remember Michael Bolton being in a band called Blackjack with Bruce Kulick. There's some nice tidbits in the article...even Dio's early days.

The second album "Everybody's Crazy" is excellent also. He could've been the American David Coverdale, but he chose to cater to housewives and elevator passengers. Fucking shame.

Attila isn't a metal band it is more psych prog nowhere near metal. More like Atomic Rooster or a hundred bands Exploding Ned could list off. Good album though.

the first TWO michael bolton cds are amazing. i had the first remastered by my engineer and the second album, everybody's crazy, was reissued by Rock Candy Records a few years back. he should have been huge in the AOR scene before he was forced to change his sound to stay on Sony.

There was a metal band in New York called Attila in the early 80s, I think people often get that confused with this Attila that I believe was from New York as well. This is where I think the idea that the Billy Jeol Attila was a heavy metal band though the twp bands where fifteen years apart.

I just can't believe we're discussing Michael Bolton! Actually, I have the Everybody's Crazy album downloaded, but it never did much for me. I think it's the whole Michael Bolton thing.
