Epic doom / dark power metallers, Behölder, are excited to launch their new single, “Draconian (Slave Or Master)”, taken from their upcoming debut album, In The Temple Of The Tyrant, out on April 25th via Black Lion Records. The new single is accompanied by a visualizer, which is available to view below.
On the new single, Behölder comments:
“A merciless warlord leads a life of conquest, conducting brutal nighttime raids upon helpless villages, seeking plunder and captives as trophies. The harsh reality that he too is a slave is not lost on him, that his identity and freedom were lost long ago, indoctrinated to serve and even worship his own tyrannical lord. The lines between being either a slave or master in a relentless cycle blur, mixed with the bloodshed and domination that define his existence.”
In The Temple Of The Tyrant features eight tracks of monstrous proportions, a true love letter to epic doom metal set within the more shadowy and grim realms of classic Dungeons & Dragons.
Fusing elements of darker power and even traditional metal, the album lures the listener in with colossal & imposing riffs, haunting, majestic melodies and powerful vocals that range from sinister to grandiose.
