In short, I think they are excellent. In truth, their more recent stuff has found more favour with me than their earlier BM stylings - they are one of a whole legion of Polish quality metal bands.
I haven't seen them live yet, but all the live reviews I've seen have been positive.

They were great here. Got real drunk. There's lots of polish bands, but this one takes the cake. You guys know Hate? Some Brutal Death Metal. They're not bad. This is a sick band though... they sound like Nile, with harsher vocals and different lyrical themes. They're a tie in my books, cept Nile is American and Behemoth are Polaks

You should buy also album Satanica. I've got it. It's a real one big piece of metal. Behemoth is right next to vader best of black metal bands in Poland. of course Vader is death metal. But they kick ass.

Polish death metal??? TRAUMA, DECAPTITATED, ENTERCHAOS, DEVILYN DEMISE, ANAL STENCH, SCEPTIC, LOST SOUL, DISSENTER, HATE, AZARATH.... fuck ther is a LOT of good death metal bands. VADER and BEHEMOTH are not the alpha and omega of the polish death metal scene...

Alot of these tr00 types would say Behemoth sold out when they started writing more deathy material. But this is complete bullshit. How can you sell out to an underground genre?
Anyway yeah... Behemoth are really fucking amazing, they totally have their sound and style, if you don't listen to these guys you should definately check them out.

Accomodation is much cheaper - in fact pretty much everything is much cheaper apart from consumer electronics.That being said, even with being one if the top tier of the second division of metal bands, they aren't going to be driving about in Ferraris anytime soon.
