Rolling Stone India last month conducted an interview with vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski of Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH. You can now watch the chat below. A couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). On writing music on the road: Nergal: "You never know when the inspiration comes out. It's like growing seeds — you never know when it's gonna spring out, when it's gonna grow, or if it's gonna grow. It's like just collecting different ideas and seeing what happens." On the BEHEMOTH live performance: Nergal: "It's just… it's years of practice, first of all. And then, on the other hand, playing the full 'The Satanist' set, it just feels awesome; it just feels good. It's super-consistent material that we are working on. And it's just the right thing to do, to play the record from start to finish; it makes a lot of sense to us. We see it live. It's just [snaps fingers]. It's a very monolithic kind of experience, performance." BEHEMOTH completed a North American tour in the spring where the band played 2014's "The Satanist" in its entirety. In addition to the concert, fans also had the chance to view "The Congregation" exhibition at each venue. Dubbed "a symbiosis of BEHEMOTH and Toxic Vision," the display showcased the collaboration between the two parties. "The Satanist" sold around 10,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 34 on The Billboard 200 chart.
