In My Kingdom Cold
I currently own Deliverance and ITAOG, both of which kick major amounts of ass. The one with the most votes here will be the next one I buy (assuming I don't already own it of course)

Voted Deliverance.
Definitely a masterpiece in southern balls out sabbath influenced metal.
Everything else is just meh tho'.
I like Keenan's work in Down much better.

Blind is a good album. Mine Are The Eyes Of God and Vote With A Bullet are good songs. I never got heavily into this band though.

Eye For An Eye, because its basically a punk record (most COC fans don't know that they started out as a hardcore punk band in the 80s, the book American Hardcore by Steven Blush will tell you).

I'm pretty sure most COC fans know that actually.

Get In The Arms Of God and work backwards.

That's my suggestion.

that wouldn't work with what he asked, but whatever..:err:

I must add, Animosity is a good record as well, its more crossover thrash than straight hardcore punk, but its still good.

I would have picked Six Songs With Mike Singing but since that isn't an option I'll take Blind which is nice and smooth. Really effective production, layered vocals give it a nice stoner feel and if you get the reissue you get my favourite song of theirs, "Jim Beam and the Coon Ass."

:kickass:

CoC pre-Pepper on lead vox = nothing.

No offense to anyone who likes them...but their songwriting and performance (namely vocally) was not that interesting before they changed their sound.

Pick up Wiseblood, Deliverance, and Volume Dealer. That's a pretty good overview.

as an ex-punk, I disagree.
