So I was going for a drive and decided to pull out the old Judas Priest Tribute cd volume 1. There are two covers of the Ripper on there. One by Iced Earth and one by Mercyful Fate.

They are both great IMO. Which one do you like best. Below are tracks and ignore the video on the IE one as this is the only clip I could find. It also cuts off just before the end.

I would imagine however that some or most of you have heard these before.

So vote on your favorite cover or let me know if there are other covers of this great song out there.

Always Mercyful Fate. The majority of the bands we love and discuss on this forum wouldn't be here without MF.

Mercyful Fate are light years ahead of Iced Earth when it comes to capturing the mood/ambiance of a serial killer, the Iced Earth is still very well done though.

I'm throwing in a third option that, in my opinion, tops the given two: Agent Steel.

Stay metal. Never rust.
