Dark Tranquillity. It was their best album overall.

I would definetly have to say The Black League - Ichor.
But also would like to point out that I normally have never been there when a new band starts out, in TBL's case I knew it would be good just based on the players and singer/songwriter.

next would probably come china drum a (dismembered) punk-rock band whose first release (in case anyone cares) is called 'goosefair'.
